Cooperation with the Spanish Stud Book

It is with pride that we have an arrangement with the Spanish Stud Book, the Libro Genealógico (LG) to help convert The Foundation’s Carta Mundial into official Spanish Documents.

We have gathered information from owners around the USA, Canada and Mexico to make this transition.  The data has been submitted to the LG and we expect to hear back from them shortly, after their World Championship SICAB, with information about when their inspector will be visiting farms to see these horses.

If you have missed the Letter from The Foundation, if you have missed the Communication on our website, and if you hold a Carta Mundial for your horse and have an interest in this program, please contact The Foundation Office at 818-874-1489.

Bred in the USA

The Directors have authorized the New Recognition to Horses Born in the USA who are in competition at recognized P.R.E. Breed Shows.  The Awards will go to the colt, the filly, the mare, the stallion born in the USA, as well as an award for the best exhibitor and the best breeder.

The scores are from the four shows with Spanish judges:  City of Industry in May and September; the America’s Cup in Santa Barbara, and the Andalusian World Cup in Las Vegas in September.  The winners will be announced in our next newsletter and on our website.

Raffle Filly

The Foundation will shortly have more information up on the website and be sending out individual tickets to everyone for the May 1, 2020, Drawing. This Raffle Filly is Galaxia de Currie, a January 2018 grey filly from Desafio SF x Kappa II.

Desafio SF has a remarkable career in the show ring, garnering titles in movement, morphology, and functionality.  His latest win was at the Andalusian World Cup in September where he won Gold Medal (First Place) and Best Movement in his age group (Stallions 7 and over) and was named Reserve Champion of Functionality.  Kappa II is a qualified Pallares-bred mare who has the movement and class associated with the Pallares Line.

Rescue Program

If you would like to Donate to support this Program, you can send your Donation to our Office:  4363 Woodman Avenue, Sherman Oaks CA 91423.  Your Donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law and support many aspects of the Rescue of in-danger P.R.E. Horses around the country.

If you are able to help us in our re-homing of these horses, please contact The Foundation office at 818-874-1489 for more information.

Heavenly Reins Therapeutic Riding

Mike Mendoza and his family have followed their calling and, as a family, are helping special needs children.  They offer their equine therapy to these special children free of charge.  If you have an extra horse, extra saddles, extra tack, and would like to donate these, or perhaps your time, energy and treasure to help, please contact Mike at 951.515.2883 or at PO Box 6295, Norco CA 92860.

Our Spanish Horse intuitively understands who the rider is and while they can give a professional rider an Olympic-style ride, they treat all children, and especially the special needs children, as treasures.  Do join with Mike and his family in this program – or start one of your own with your beautiful horses!
