WORKING EQUITATION
WE UNITED High Point Breed Awards The Foundation joins WE United in recognizing the achievements of horses registered with the P.R.E. Mundial through WE United’s Breed Performance Award. WE United’s Breed Performance Awards are offered in order to recognize the accomplishments of specific breeds in Working Equitation. These awards are presented once per year at the end of the competition season. Horses’ annual competition points reported to the WE United Annual Leaderboard will be used to determine the winner of the year-end Breed Performance Awards. Horses must be registered with WE United and the participating breed organization (P.R.E. MUNDIAL) in order to be eligible for a year-end Breed Performance Award. Working Equitation is one of the fastest-growing equestrian sports in the country. The sport is well-established in Europe and is rapidly gaining popularity in the United States. Competition includes three separate phases: Dressage, Ease of Handling (precision around obstacles, judged much the same as dressage, for the finesse with which each is completed), and Speed (a timed event, also around obstacles). Awards in the other performance disciplines are in the process of development. If you are interested in providing input in any of these areas, please contact The Foundation at 818.874.1489. |
