Dear Foundation Member,
We at The Foundation want to thank you for all the support you have given The Foundation over the years and the individual service that you have given to our much loved breed.
Our primary mission has always been to serve the best interests of the P.R.E.. As you are aware, the Carta Mundial originally began because of the transition from the Cria Caballar to ANCCE. During this transition, paperwork was not processed in a reasonable period of time. With today's new technology, however, these problems have been solved so we no longer need two P.R.E. registries. Therefore, The Foundation has stopped production, and will no longer produce, the Carta Mundial.
We have reached an important agreement with our Spanish colleagues, ANCCE, to unify the registries. Horses that meet the qualifications can be inscribed and revised for inclusion in the Spanish Stud Book, the LG (Libro Genealogico).
If you own a horse holding a Carta Mundial and didn't receive our earlier letter with details of this program for inscription and revision, please call our office (818) 874.1489 and we will get back to you with all the details.
The Foundation will focus on the many other programs that will better reflect our mission to promote and protect this remarkable breed.
We look forward to your continued support as we go confidently into the future.
Sincerely,
Barbara Currie, Chairman
Maria O'Brien, President
